About Favorite Recipes Online

Favorite Recipes Online is a team effort by three people who share a love of good food and wine.

Armand, Margo, Gary and Ros are part of the team that created the Romantic Gift Ideas Online web site. In the early days of putting the gifts site together, they would meet at Armand's place on Sunday mornings. Someone would usually bring a snack, often homemade, and talk would inevitably drift towards food. On days when the meetings went over schedule, Armand would often whip up some tasty stir fry, and eventually someone suggested we share his recipes on a web site.

The original idea has changed somewhat since those early beginnings. But the concept remains the same.


Meet The Team

Armand Aguillon

A native of the Philippines, Armand and his sisters emigrated to Australia in 1989. While still a teenager, he worked as an actor and dancer in the Australian film industry, but his practical nature soon asserted itself and he enrolled in an International Business degree at Griffith University's Gold Coast campus. Armand's love of cooking dates from an early age, and his specialty is Asian cuisine. He favors stir fry recipes and spicy foods. But he also enjoys trying new dishes and samples a variety of local restaurants. A keen basketball player and martial arts student, Armand has a black belt in karate and still trains weekly. As well as doing research on the Internet, he enjoys studying the equity and property markets.

Marguerite Bonneville

Margo is a Master NLP Practitioner and Trainer and is presently working in Internet marketing. Her grandfather was a chef in the United States in the early part of the 20th century, but when he emigrated to Australia he became a business owner, cooking only on weekends for assorted family gatherings. Her brother also worked as an apprentice chef for a short time and still enjoys cooking at home. So enjoying good food is part of her family experience. Margo enjoys Thai, Vietnamese, Mexican, Italian, French, Spanish, Japanese and Chinese cuisines. While at University she co-authored a student newspaper column on health and nutrition. She believes cooking should be a team sport and absolutely refuses to cook on her own.

Garry Phipps

Garry's a Brisbane boy who moved to the Gold Coast as a toddler. He has a Business Degree in Information Technology from the University of Queensland and has worked in the IT industry since graduation. A seasoned traveler, Garry has sampled foods from many cultures and appreciates trying new cuisines. With his busy IT business, Garry has little time for cooking himself but appreciates dining out on good food and wine and sharing a meal with family and friends.

Roslyn Schwarz

Roslyn moved to the Gold Coast from Ceduna, a small town in South Australia. As a teenager, she spent a year in Japan as an exchange student and developed an affinity for Japanese culture and cuisine. Ros teaches English to Japanese clients on a part-time basis, and is in the process of setting up an English School online. An enthusiastic cook, Ros has an extensive collection of recipe books and courses and enjoys trying new dishes.
